World’s Largest Startups and Investors Event Unveils in Dubai
Dubai: Expand North Star, the world’s largest event dedicated to startups and investors, commenced today in Dubai, drawing an international crowd of entrepreneurs and business innovators.
According to Ethiopian News Agency, the event, organized by the Dubai World Trade Centre and hosted by the Dubai Chamber of Digital Economy, has successfully gathered over 2,000 startups and more than 70,000 participants from upwards of 120 countries, including Ethiopia. The three-day event promises a vibrant platform for networking, investment pitching, and collaborative discussions among the leading minds in the global startup ecosystem.
The participation of Ethiopian startups has been particularly noteworthy. Selamyihun Adefris, Lead Executive Officer for Startups Development at Ethiopia’s Ministry of Innovation and Technology, shared that six promising startups, chosen from a competitive pool of 150, are representing Ethiopia. Adefris emphasized the importance of such global platforms in providing critical exposure and
opportunities for Ethiopian startups to attract international investments and forge meaningful partnerships.
