UN Boss visits South West Somalia to observe the humanitarian situation
United Nations Secretary-General António Guterres flew to Baidoa, the capital of South West Somalia, after arriving in Mogadishu this morning. He is joined by the Minister of Internal Affairs Ahmed Moalim Fiqi and the Commissioner of the National Disaster Management Agency Mahamud Abdull Moallim Abdulle. The aim of this trip is for these officials to observe the humanitarian situation in the areas of the South West State. This is António Guterres’ second visit to Mogadishu; he arrived in March 2017.
