UK Ambassador, WB Country Director Impressed by Beynouna Village in Ethiopia.
Beynouna Village: The newly built Beynouna Village, inaugurated by Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed, has impressed visiting British Ambassador Darren Welch and World Bank Country Director for Eritrea, Ethiopia, South Sudan, and Sudan, Maryam Salim. Situated on the shores of Lake Beseka, this tourism destination combines traditional Ethiopian architecture with modern amenities, offering visitors a luxurious and authentic experience.
According to Ethiopian News Agency, Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed officially opened the resort on Sunday, showcasing his vision for Ethiopia’s development. Ambassador Darren Welch expressed his admiration for the prime minister’s foresight and the high-quality development of the resort. Welch highlighted the peaceful and stunning scenery, noting the resort’s potential to boost the country’s tourism industry.
The resort, a collaboration between Ethiopia, the UAE, and the private sector, aims to redefine luxury tourism in Ethiopia. World Bank Country Director Maryam Salim also expressed her a
mazement at the area’s transformation. Salim emphasized the economic benefits of tourism and agriculture in the region, noting the potential for local income generation and economic growth.
