Tripartite Cooperation for Establishment of Centers of Excellence in Ethiopia Signed

A Joint Declaration for Tripartite Cooperation on the Establishment of Centers of Excellence in Ethiopia has been sighed today in the presence of Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed.

The governments of Ethiopia and China as well as the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) signed the tripartite cooperation agreement in Addis Ababa.

The Tripartite Cooperation on the Establishment of Centers of Excellence in Ethiopia focuses on agriculture, agro-industries, renewable energy, and digitization.

Prime Minister Abiy said the agreement presents a unique opportunity for Ethiopia to enhance the livelihoods of farmers and rural communities through innovative solutions provided by these centers.

‘I extend my gratitude to the Government of China and UNIDO for their pivotal role in facilitating this initiative,’ the premier stated on his social media.

He has also extended special thanks to UNIDO’s Director General Gerd Muller for his continued commitment to Ethiopia’s development
