Third African Welding Federation Annual Assembly and International Conference Concludes in Addis Ababa
Addis Ababa: The African Welding Federation Annual Assembly and International Conference has served as a critical platform for sharing knowledge and experiences among African welding experts and professionals, Federal Technical and Vocational Training Institute Director General, Biruk Kedir said. The three-day conference, held under the theme “Empowering Africa: Strengthening Welding Capacity for Regional Integration and Global Competitiveness,” concluded today.
According to Ethiopian News Agency, the event was attended by notable figures including the President of the Welding Federation of Africa, Hamed Abdelaleem, and FDRE Technical and Vocational Training Institute Director General, Biruk Kedir, among other officials. The conference emphasized Africa’s strong research and technical capacity in welding, as well as advanced equipment and skill development.
Researches presented at the conference highlighted the importance of data-driven decision making, integrating experimental and statistical analysis. The discussions also fostered dialogue on advancing Africa’s welding industry through innovation, education, and policy alignment, stressing the need for greater collaboration, standardization, and investment across the continent.
