State Minister Mesganu Meets with Saudi Investors to Boost Economic Ties.

Riyadh: State Minister of Foreign Affairs Ambassador Mesganu Arga met with Saudi Arabian investors in Riyadh and discussed investment opportunities in Ethiopia. The state minister highlighted Ethiopia’s recent economic reforms aimed at fostering foreign trade and investment. The reforms have created a conducive environment for international investors across various sectors, he emphasized. The state minister noted Ethiopia’s rapidly expanding economy, its young and dynamic workforce, and a population exceeding 120 million. He also underscored the country’s strategic location in the Horn of Africa, which offers unparalleled opportunities in agriculture, manufacturing, mining, and services.

According to Ethiopian News Agency, Saudi investors and heads of companies expressed their appreciation for the discussion and showed strong interest in investing in Ethiopia. They highlighted potential areas of collaboration, including agricultural production, livestock breeding, mining, tourism, and the establishment of fa
ctories to access the broader African market. The meeting marks another step in strengthening economic ties between Ethiopia and Saudi Arabia while showcasing Ethiopia’s commitment to fostering a welcoming environment for foreign investors.
