Somali National Disaster Management Agency Extends a Helping Hand to Displaced Communities in Las Anod

The Somali National Disaster Management Agency (SoDMA) has delivered 500 tons of food to the people of Las Anod, the capital of Sool region, who have been displaced by the recent conflict in the city.

The food aid is part of the relief efforts that SoDMA has been carrying out in Las Anod since the clashes between Somaliland and Las Anod erupted in the city.

The transnational administration in Khhaatuuno and the district administration of Las Anod have expressed their gratitude to SoDMA for the generous donation and urged other humanitarian agencies to follow suit.

The conflict in Las Anod has displaced thousands of people and disrupted the delivery of basic services and livelihoods.
