President Reaffirms Ethiopia’s Unwavering Commitment for Cooperation with Other Countries
ADDIS ABABA: President Taye Atskeselasie reaffirmed Ethiopia’s enduring dedication to promoting international cooperation and mutual respect, emphasizing the country’s commitment to extending support to other nations. Speaking at an event marking the 117th anniversary of the Ethiopian National Defense Force (ENDF), President Taye highlighted Ethiopia’s historical role in respecting the sovereignty and freedom of its neighbors and other countries.
According to Ethiopian News Agency, President Taye reiterated Ethiopia’s unwavering commitment to cooperation and support amidst regional and global challenges. He lauded the Ethiopian National Defense Force as an enduring symbol of victory, capable of overcoming trials. The President also noted the remarkable reforms within the army, suggesting these could serve as a model for other African nations. He recalled testimonies from defense ministers of various African countries who praised Ethiopia’s military advancements during a recent gathering in Addis Ababa.

He emphasized the ENDF’s pivotal role in national development and its steadfast contribution to safeguarding the nation’s sovereignty and peace. Minister of Defense Aisha Mohamed echoed these sentiments, highlighting the ENDF’s sacrifices on both domestic and international fronts. She affirmed that the challenges faced by the army have only served to strengthen its resolve and commitment, underscoring its endurance and battle-hardened experience.
