PM Abiy Holds Talks with UN Secretary-General António Guterres

Addis ababa: Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed met with UN Secretary-General António Guterres in the early hours of this morning to discuss regional and multilateral issues.

According to Ethiopian News Agency, the meeting took place at the Prime Minister’s office in Addis Ababa, where the two leaders engaged in discussions on various important matters. “I am pleased to welcome United Nations Secretary General António Guterres to Ethiopia and had the pleasure of receiving him this morning at my office, where we discussed various regional and multilateral issues,” Prime Minister Abiy stated in a social media post following the meeting.

UN Secretary-General António Guterres, who arrived in Addis Ababa last night, is in Ethiopia to attend the annual meeting between United Nations and African Union leaders.
