Pakistani Investors Visit Bole Lemi and Kilinto Industrial Parks

Addis Ababa A Pakistani business delegation from various sectors has visited the Bole Lemi and Kilinto industrial parks today.

During the visit, the investors were briefed about the investment opportunities in Ethiopia that would enable them to engage in various business areas.

Ethiopian Industrial Parks Development Corporation (IPDC) CEO, Aklilu Tadesse briefed the business persons on the occasion about the investment opportunities in Ethiopia, including incentives for the FDI, the government’s commitment, and the abundant human resources.

He also pointed out that Ethiopia is a wide market with its huge population, one of the biggest markets in Africa.

According to him, investment activities are being enhanced and the flow has shown hopeful sign, especially following the peace deal agreement.

The CEO further said the Industrial Parks Development Corporation has been exerting efforts to attract FDI from Asia and European countries as wells the global business community.

Ethiopia’s Ambassador to Pakistan, Jamal Beker said on his part that Pakistani investors from textile, pharmaceuticals, and manufacturing, among others, have interest in investing in Ethiopia.

“We encourage the Pakistani investors and others to invest in Ethiopia; and Ethiopia is open for everyone,” he added.

The ambassador expressed his hope that many business agreements will be signed between the Pakistani investors and Ethiopia, following the conclusion of their visit.

The Pakistani business delegation leader, Ibrahim Ibrahim K. Tawab said the full fledged infrastructure that they observed during the visit has motivated them to invest in Ethiopia.
