Notice: Important Changes to Consular Services

As part of the wide-ranging reforms being conducted across the Government in an effort to improve performance and service delivery, the Embassy is pleased to announce the digitisation of the majority of our consular services.

Following the successful launch of the e-visa process in 2018, the Immigration Nationality and Vital Events Agency (INVEA) has announced the commencement of the Digital INVEA application aimed at modernising, simplifying and integrating its service offering. This application, which aims to enhance customer satisfaction and convenience, will efficiently serve the Ethiopian community abroad by leveraging the power of technology in the ongoing delivery of services.

We, therefore, recommend all prospective customers to visit www.digitalinvea.com for access to the following services, which will not be offered by the Embassy going forward:

Passport services (new applications and renewals)

Ethiopian-origin ID cards (new applications and renewals)

Laissez-passer services
