Islamic Affairs Supreme Council President Urges Muslims to Support Needy during Ramadan
Addis Ababa: The President of the Ethiopian Islamic Affairs Supreme Council, Sheikh Haji Ibrahim Tufa, urged Muslims to devote the holy month of Ramadan to supporting and helping each other.
According to Ethiopian News Agency, in a message conveyed to Muslims ahead of Ramadan, which begins in a week, Sheikh Haji Ibrahim Tufa called on the faithful to exhibit love, forgiveness, and togetherness during the fasting season. Emphasizing the importance of giving a hand to those in need, he highlighted the significance of compassion and community support.
Ustaz Abubeker Ahmed also remarked on the occasion, stating that Ramadan is a time for Muslims to promote peace and strengthen their bonds with one another. He stressed the importance of unity and collective action during this sacred period.
Additionally, it was learned that a national Qur’an recital competition will be held during this year’s Ramadan, providing an opportunity for spiritual engagement and celebration of Islamic culture.
