IPDC, Private Companies Sign Agreements to Invest in Industrial Parks
The Industrial Parks Development Corporation (IPDC) has signed agreements today with Parker Clay Ethiopia PLC and Akshay Jain Company to engage in investments in industrial parks of the country.
IPDC Deputy CEO, Shiferaw Solomon, Parker Clay Ethiopia Venture Manufacturing Plc Deputy General Manager, Kibreab Abera and Akshay Jain Company CEO, Akshay Jain signed the agreement in Addis Ababa.
According to the agreement, Parker Clay Ethiopia Venture Manufacturing Plc will invest some 30 million Birr on 1,150 square meters of shade in Addis Industrial Park to manufacture leather products.
Whilst, Akshay Jain Company will invest some 884 million Birr on 40,000 meters squares of shade in Jimma Industrial Park to produce Avocado oil and biogas fertilizer.
IPDC Deputy CEO, Shiferaw Solomon said during the occasion that the corporation will provide the necessary supports to the companies to help them successfully carryout their business.
The companies are expected to create hundreds jobs for Ethiopians.
It was learned that a total of 125 companies, both local and foreign, have been engaging in various sectors in the 13 industrial parks of the country.
