Investment Commission and Ethiopian News Agency Collaborate to Boost Foreign Investment
Addis Ababa: The Ethiopian Investment Commission and the Ethiopian News Agency have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) aimed at enhancing Ethiopia’s foreign investment potential. Ethiopian Investment Commissioner Zeleke Temesgen and Ethiopian News Agency CEO Seife Derbie officially inked the agreement at a ceremony held today.
According to Ethiopian News Agency, Commissioner Zeleke Temesgen highlighted the commission’s pivotal role in leading Ethiopia’s economic transformation and promoting investment. He emphasized the government’s commitment to creating a favorable environment for investment, noting that various projects are being supported and monitored across different sectors. He stressed the necessity of media partnerships in fully realizing and promoting the country’s investment potential.
Zeleke underscored the importance of collaborating with ENA, the oldest news agency known for its reliable and accurate coverage, as a strategic move to showcase Ethiopia’s vast investment opportunities. This partnership is expected to play a crucial role in attracting foreign investors by increasing visibility and awareness.
Ethiopian News Agency CEO Seife Derbie expressed optimism about the partnership, pointing out that it aligns with the agency’s efforts to expand its reach in Ethiopia, Africa, and beyond. With 40 branches across the country, ENA provides news content in eight local and international languages, enhancing its ability to disseminate information widely.
The CEO remarked that the MoU is a significant opportunity for the agency to highlight investment opportunities in Ethiopia and work alongside the commission to achieve the goal of positioning Ethiopia as a leading investment hub.
