Hohoe United FC Coach Aims for Victory in Next Division One Match

Hohoe – Mr. Jones Amissah, the Head Coach of Hohoe United Football Club, has expressed his firm intention to secure a win in their upcoming match in the Access Bank Division One Zone Three League. His comments follow a goalless draw against Accra Athletic Football Club at the Hohoe Sports Stadium, a result that fell short of his expectations.

According to Ghana News Agency, despite the recent draw, the team’s overall performance has been commendable. He remains hopeful that their positive form will continue in future games. Emphasizing the importance of the upcoming match, he stated that a victory is crucial for the team to accumulate sufficient points in the league standings. Additionally, he expressed gratitude to the club’s supporters for their unwavering support.

On the other side, Mr. Emmanuel Aidoo, Head Coach of Accra Athletic FC, considered the draw a fair result, acknowledging Hohoe United FC’s capabilities. He noted that his team was unfazed by the strong home support for Hohoe United FC, maintaining their focus throughout the game. However, Aidoo expressed dissatisfaction with some of the referee’s decisions, leaving it to the spectators to form their own judgments.

Aidoo also shared his aspirations for Accra Athletic FC’s next match, highlighting the club’s gradual progress as a relatively young team. Despite the early downpour that affected the first half of the game, football enthusiasts filled the Hohoe Sports Stadium, showing robust support for the home team.

John Alossode, wearing the number 18 shirt for Hohoe United FC, was named Man of the Match for his outstanding performance. Both team captains, Eric Adjei of Accra Athletic FC and Kojo Amankwaa of Hohoe United FC, were noted for their exceptional play during the match.

The match officials, led by Boateng Daniel Atuobi, with assistants Davor Samuel, Asiedu Emmanuel, and fourth official Agbovi William, oversaw the game, which saw three yellow cards issued, two of which were against Accra Athletic FC.
