Facebook whistleblower Frances Haugen says she is worried about the social media giant’s recently announced plans to develop a Metaverse with virtual spaces where where work, games and shopping can take place. “I personally am terrified of the idea of adding more microphones and sensors from Facebook into our homes, into our offices, of having these systems embedded in our lives, spying on us, when we have no idea how they use the data,” Haugen told dpa in an interview.
