Ethiopia, South Korea Agree to Further Booster Ties in Trade, Investment

Ethiopia and South Korea agreed to further bolster ties in the areas of trade, investment and capacity building, according to Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

This came as a result of a visit that Ethiopian Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to South Korea, Dessie Dalkie paid to Gyeongsangbuk-do Province earlier today.

During the tour, the Ambassador met with Governor of the Province, Cheol-Woo Lee and conferred on ways of promoting cooperation between the province and Ethiopian regions in the investment sector.

Ambassador Dessie told Governor Lee that Ethiopia and South Korea enjoy longstanding diplomatic ties.

These ties need to be further strengthened through region-to-region partnership such as trade, investment and capacity, the Ambassador added.

Governor Lee, on his part, pledged to explore avenues for further cooperation between the Province and regions in Ethiopia.

The envoy also met with mayors of various cities, presidents of varsities and CEOs of certain companies located in Gyeongsangbuk-do.
