Ethiopia is Committed to Peacefully Solve Conflict in North, Says DPM and FM Demeke Mekonnen
Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Demeke Mekonnen has reaffirmed Ethiopia’s commitment to peacefully solve the conflict in the north.
The Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister met today with Katja Keul, Minister of State at the Ministry of the Federal Foreign Office of the Federal Republic of Germany.
During the occasion, the two sides pledged to scale up the bilateral relationship between Ethiopia and Germany.
The two countries need to cooperate on issues related to energy, climate change, peace, and security, according to the deputy prime minister.
He stated that Ethiopia is dedicated to finding a peaceful solution to the conflict in the north. The ICHREE’s report is politically motivated and biased, Demeke added.
Katja Keul for her part said Germany supports the peace process to end the conflict in the northern part of the country.
