In the Malta Guinness Women’s Premier League (WPL), Ladystrikers’ captain Edem Atovor played a pivotal role in securing their first win of the season against Jonina Ladies FC. Despite Ladystrikers’ dominant performance, leading 2-0 for a significant part of the match, Jonina Ladies managed to narrow the margin. Agnes Yeboah scored for Jonina Ladies in the 77th minute, bringing the score to 2-1. This match marked Jonina Ladies’ second defeat of the season, following their earlier 1-0 loss to Soccer Intellectuals.
For her outstanding contribution to the game, Atovor was named the Nasco MVP of the match, a testament to her skill and leadership on the field.
