ECSU Council Evaluates First Quarter Work Plan Performance

Ethiopian Civil Service University (ECSU) Council held three-month work plan performance evaluation on October 12, 2021 at Hidasse Hall. All ECSU council members have participated in the evaluation program which is organized by Planning, Monitoring and Evaluation Directorate.

In his opening remarks, Prof. Fikre Dessalegn, ECSU President, welcomed the members of the Council and informed them that the University has become accountable to the Ministry of Education following the new government structure. According to Prof. Fikre, this new arrangement has brought a lot of opportunities and enables the university to exercise its all privileges as a higher educational Institution. Besides, it is important to be prepared by taking into account the challenges that come with it. In line with the new arrangement, some adjustments and revisions will be made to ECSU ten years strategic plan and some of the university’s structures and guidelines that need to be adjusted.

He also stressed the need to work harder than ever in order to meet the international and national standards and become a competitive and preferable university in the academic world.

The council members on their part expressed their pleasure by the new structural arrangement and they pledged to work hard and perform better to meet the university mission and vision. They also discussed on the first quarter work performance report presented by Dr. Abrham Hagose, Planning Monitoring and Evaluation Directorate Director.
