Cuban Vice President Salvador Valdes Mesa Meets Speaker Bagbin in Accra

Accra, Ghana – Mr. Salvador Valdes Mesa, the Vice President of Cuba, met with the Speaker of Ghana’s Parliament, Alban Sumana Kingsford Bagbin, at Parliament House in Accra. This courtesy call was part of Mr. Mesa’s three-day official visit to Ghana.

According to the Ghana News Agency (GNA) , Mr. Mesa emphasized the importance of strengthening the friendship between Cuba and Ghana. He praised Ghana for its consistent solidarity with Cuba, especially during critical moments, and commended both past and present Ghanaian leaders for supporting Cuba’s cause.

Speaker Bagbin welcomed the Cuban Vice President and highlighted the significance of Ghana and Cuba working closely together, especially in the context of the ongoing efforts by major superpowers to create a new world order. The meeting also included prominent Ghanaian parliamentary figures such as Mr. Osei Kyei-Mensah-Bonsu, the Majority Leader and Leader of Government Business in Parliament, and Dr. Cassiel Ato Baah Forson, the Minority Leader.
