China Opposes All Forms of Hegemonism, Interference in Internal Affairs of Others: Xi Jinping
China opposes all forms of hegemonism, double standards and interference in internal affairs others, President Xi Jinping said.
It is to be recalled that President Xi Jinping reelected as General Secretary of the Chinese Communist Party (CPC) on Sunday.
During the occasion, Xi stressed that China remains firm in pursuing an independent foreign policy of peace while the world is undergoing changes unseen in a century.
“China always decides on our own position and policy based on the merits of the matter itself, safeguards the basic norms of international relations and international equity and justice.”
The president said China opposes all forms of hegemonism, double standards and interference in internal affairs and follows the principle of sincerity.
He also stated that China broadens the convergence of interests with other countries, safeguards the common interests of developing countries and dedicates to promoting a human community with a shared future.
Accordingly, China remains committed to its fundamental national policy of opening up to the outside world, participates in the reform and construction of the global governance system actively.
China will implement the concept of global governance with the principle of extensive consultation, joint contribution and shared benefits, practice true multilateralism and steer global governance toward greater fairness, justice, Xi added noting that China’s development and Chinese modernization will create more opportunities for the world.
Chinese Embassy in Addis Ababa stated in a press release that on the new journey of building a modern socialist country in all respects, the CPC and Chinese people will work closely with all countries, including Ethiopia, to hold high the banner of a community with a shared future for mankind.
China will also promote Belt and Road cooperation and fully implement the Global Development Initiative and the Global Security Initiative, create a better future for mankind, make new, greater contributions to world peace and common development together, it indicated.
