Car support was provided to strengthen the integrated agro-processing industry parks
10 vehicles purchased with the financial support of the African Development Bank (ADB) were handed over to the Ministry of Trade and Industry today.
One of the things the government is doing to get the industry to take over the economy is to build integrated agro-processing industry parks.
Currently, four parks have been built and operational.
State Minister of Agro-Processing and Pharmaceutical Industry Development, Teka G / Yesus, who was present at the handover ceremony, said the vehicles are designed to ensure their productivity by monitoring and supporting the process from input supply to production.
Ayalneh Abawa, Coordinator of the Integrated Agro-Industrial Park Support Project at the Ministry, on his part said the African Development Bank is one of the development partners supporting the construction of agro-industrial parks by the Ethiopian government. He said they were issued by the Federal Office. He said the vehicles were purchased at a cost of 48 million 332 thousand 002 birr and thanked the African Development Bank for its support.
Officials of the Industrial Parks Development Corporation, which received the vehicles on behalf of the regions where the industrial parks are located, said the support provided by the Ethiopian government and the African Development Bank will alleviate the problem of delays caused by the shortage of vehicles.
