Burkina: National anthem sung in Kassem language at the Ministry of Health

The national anthem of Burkina Faso, “le Ditanyè”, was sung Monday in the Kassem language by workers of the Ministry of Health during the official ceremony of raising the national colors.

In the dynamics of promoting national languages, the staff of the Ministry in charge of Health, headed by the head of the department, Dr Robert Kargougou, performed the national anthem in chorus in the Kassem language.

Also called Kassena, Kassem is the language of the Kassenas, an ethnic group close to Gourounsi, located in the south of Burkina Faso.

For the Permanent Secretary for the Promotion of National Languages, Dr. Awa 2nd Twin Tiendrebéogo/Sawadogo, the national anthem contains the history of Burkina Faso and also a firm commitment of all patriots to fight for the country.

She explained that the ultimate goal is for all communities to translate the anthem into their languages ??and teach it to their children.
