AUDA-NEPAD Pledges to Support Innovation, Youth Employment in Ethiopia
The Chief Executive Secretary of the African Union Development Agency (AUDA-NEPAD), Nardos Bekele Thomas met with Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Affairs Minister Demeke Mekonnen in the margins of the 17th AU Extra-ordinary Summit taking place in Naimey, Niger.
During the discussion, Nardos said the continental organization supports youth employment and innovation in Ethiopia.
AUDA-NEPAD continues to work with the Government of Ethiopia to galvanize and solicit assistance to its development endeavors.
Deputy Prime Minister for his part briefed Nardos on major success stories of Ethiopia on developing science and technology and reducing the major challenges of unemployment in Ethiopia.
The two sides have agreed to organize major achievements of Ethiopia in agriculture and technology such as wheat production and science museum, in the upcoming AU summit in Addis.
One of the mandates of AUDA-NEPAD is to coordinate and execute priority regional and continental projects to promote regional integration towards the accelerated realization of Agenda 2063.
