AAU Receives Books from the Late Professor Teshome Mulat
Addis Ababa University (AAU) College of Business and Economics received 1,838 different kinds of books as a gift from the late Professor Teshome Mulat on Monday, 28th of March 2022.
Prof. Teshome’s brother, Mr. Asrat Mulat, delivered the gift with a document revealing the list and descriptions of the books to the department of Economics through its representative, Atnafu Gebremeskel (PhD).
As briefly stated by Mr. Asrat, the books were given to the AAU by the will of the late Prof. Teshome Mulat succeeded by his son Melaku Teshome from USA.
Atnafu Gebremeskel (PhD), Head of the Department of Economics, on his receiving remarks said that Prof. Teshome was a prominent figure as a scholar in the field of economics in AAU and worldwide as well.
The books, accumulated throughout the Professor’s life, are highly valued to the University and the Department of Economics in particular to be mainly used in graduate programs (MA and PhD levels), Dr. Atnafu added.
The CV for the late Prof. Teshome Mulat shows that he published more than 51 articles in global reputable journals and served in various local and international institutions like:
Fiscal Policy Expert in African Union (AU); Research Officer and Research Fellow in ILO; Professor of Economics, Director for the Institute of Development Research and Chairman in the Department of Economics in AAU; Research Assistant in the Ministry of Finance (Ethiopia), etc.
