AAU Organizes a Workshop on Organizational Student-Staff Satisfaction

Addis Ababa University (AAU) organized a workshop that focused on Student-Staff satisfaction and program performance evaluation at the University’s Eshetu Chole Hall on February 21, 2023.

Emebet Mulugeta (PhD), Academic Vice President at AAU, introduced the purpose of the workshop focusing on the results of the teaching-learning performance and the level of students and staff satisfaction on the service delivery of the University system.

Professor Tassew Woldehanna, the president of AAU, in his opening speech stated that there was no convenient way to understand whether the undergraduate students’ joining of AAU was by their preference or not; understanding the students’ areas of preferences helps to open more important programs and to block out those undesirable ones.

Prof. Tassew further explained that the University considers changes on the graduate programs as well as the development of teachers’ and the staff profiles in general to raise their on job satisfaction.

Different scholars delivered presentations on “undergraduate programs assessment and students’ satisfaction survey”; “assessment of the graduate programs of AAU”; “analysis on staff study leave status”; “AAU program quality audit report” and “AAU faculty job satisfaction survey report”

Following the audience discussion on the scholars’ presentations, Mitike Molla (PhD), Vice President of Research and Technology Transfer of AAU, in her closing remarks expressed that such a workshop has of great importance to modernize and improve the system of the University in general.
