A consultative forum for the Mojo Common Sewerage Project is underway
Work is underway to make Mojo Leather Factory City (Leather Industry Village) to improve the country’s economy and job creation through the proper use of our country’s leather resources. The project is being designed to build a world-class common wastewater treatment plant and to transform the country’s role in Africa into a leader in order to benefit the local community and in line with the country’s green industry development. A consultation meeting is underway at the Hilton Hotel.
Opening the forum, State Minister for Agro-Processing and Pharmaceutical Industry Development, Teka G. Yesus, said it is necessary to build a leather industry cluster to contribute to the economic and job creation of the leather sector. He said the office of the Prime Minister is working hard to improve the living standards of local farmers by providing financial compensation to UNIDO.
On behalf of the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO), Wondu Legesse, the current state of the leather industry is being discussed by presenting a document that will be used as input for the success of the project.
